摘要： Disclosed herein are compositions comprising a drug linked to a multivalent ligand polysaccharide and the use of this composition in the prevention and treatment of cancer. In one aspect, the polysaccharide is obtained by physical and chemical treatment of naturally occurring polymers or semi synthetic polymers which are bridged specifically with one or more anti-cancer chemotherapeutic agents. Another aspect is directed to the effective delivery of the polysaccharide together with the chemotherapeutic agent to diseased tissue including cancerous tissue.

摘要： Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for the delivery and targeting of therapeutics using nanometer sized polysaccharide structures. The methods and compositions described herein afford improved efficacy for pharmaceuticals such as anti-tumor drugs on metastatic tumor. The methods described herein are applicable to all chemotherapeutic agents and are especially useful for poorly soluble (hydrophobic) drugs which when formulated with the present compositions render them deliverable in physiological fluids. The methods and compositions described herein also improve the efficacy of pharmaceutical agents by targeting carbohydrate receptors specific to tumors that mediate endocytosis or enhance delivery of the drug to the ultimate site of action.

The test apparatus includes probe positioning marks on the exterior of the sample unit, so that the probe may be moved between selected test positions, and as it moves from a non-use to a use position, various test reagents which are sealed within the test unit are punctured by the probe, and the test sample and the test reagents are reacted together in the test unit.

The apparatus comprises a transparent plastic bag divided into a sample compartment to receive a test sample such as water and a media compartment having a powdered growth medium with an indicator for the pathogens. The test kit apparatus includes a sanitizer compound or composition in a separate compartment to be introduced into the sample and media compartment after incubation and reading of the test results to provide for the total deactivation of the pathogen grown on the media after incubation thereby permitting the safe disposal of the plastic bag with the ingredients therein.
